well, we did it.
our first diorama.
and by we, i mean, us, me and jon.
i mean audrey.
what are those things?
well, they are ring tailed lemurs of course.
and if you would like to make a clay lemur family of your own, just pull up "how to make a ring tailed lemur out of clay" on youtube. it ain't beebs or psy, but it has a few hits. (well, 2 to be exact and that is because after we melted the first family we had to pull it back up to do it again).
oh gosh, could you just kiss those little cheeks!
it was her first preschool performance and she was so cute, sang her little heart out.
and she LOVED having daddy and mommy all to herself.
harper's black belt is "up in the lobby".
that is TKD speak for, he is almost there! he is so proud of his accomplishments. he is now a blue belt and goes to the "advanced" class. cool stuff for a little dude.
so every year the kids are like "we are the ONLY ones on the block that don't put lights up, can we pleeeeeeeease put lights on our house" who are we to say no? the griswold's be darned, grace street is glowing and it only took us 4 hours.
gogo's kitchen on thanksgiving
the "big" cousins speak by screen. it's so cool to see them all now that they are grown up. they are smart, funny and i am proud to be their aunt. now, let's start some weddings before i am too old to enjoy it!
as much as i hate only having my phone for a camera, the fact that it is always in my pocket allows me to grab scenes like this. my big bro and sis laughing away, while big cousin matt lifts little cousin audrey to get an ornament up high. i love my family.
our neighbor cheyenne made us cupcakes, very good cupcakes. after eating them georgia decided that "them neighbors is the best ones" her voting obviously swayed by sugar. this girl will move the earth for a donut, cupcake or piece of candy. this right now, this is her season!
tonight, we taught the kids how to do a friendly prank. they loved it.
back in june upon our arrival home from disney, we found the ugliest manger scene ever in our front lawn, it had been there all week. we found out the culprits and had a good laugh. we have saved such manger scene for just the right night. our friend has very good taste and actually decorates for christmas for a living. we thought that she was the perfect recipient. it is hard to see but trust me, it looks classic. proud wise men lit up by perfectly lined up lights. i am hoping she uses the back door for a few days.
i love this season.
every year it becomes more and more meaningful.
i love Jesus and this is his time to shine. i love that even when people don't realize it, they are celebrating the birthday of our King.
and i think that He even liked our little prank:)
time for parenthood.
