moments.

so, i dump the pictures from our crappy camera onto my computer today
i'm annoyed with myself, wishing i was more organized or had actual photo albums
and then the pictures start to come up, one by one

tears sting the corners of my tired eyes
how dare i wish that i was anything except exactly what God made me

a sinner saved by grace, a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mom
i am those things exactly.
i am also broken, i am unorganized, overly sensitive and distractable.

but i am also blessed, loved, cherished and beloved in the eyes of my Savior

and so i post these pictures as a glaring reminder that i am WHERE i am supposed to be and i AM who He says I am and there is nothing i can do about it

but be grateful.  be joyful. be in the exact moment.

<grateful>: the wind in our faces, her warm little body

<grateful>: the leaning of her foot, their bond, the lack of space between them

<grateful>: his front tooth, our home, their school

<grateful>: master al's influence, their goofy conversations in the back of the car,
the dedication and respect for himself that he has gained, the opportunity

<grateful>: hours of competition, encouraging each other, simplicity

<grateful>: unspoken support, common bonds, the thickness of blood

<grateful>: lessons taught without words, unbreakable bonds, perfect imperfections

<grateful>: this place, these people, my team

<grateful>: joy exuding, music, their memories, togetherness

<grateful>: how i learned to be a good friend, that hair

<grateful>: unwavering support, constant love

<grateful>: the miracle of them, selfie silliness

<grateful>: girl power, examples to look up to

<grateful>: new life, my tribe, celebrations

<grateful>: answered prayers, watchful eyes making me be better each day

<grateful>: a place for her energy, an outlet for her competitive spirit

<grateful>: this time in my life, these mountains we climb, their small, solvable problems.

these moments live in my heart and my mind
they pulse in my veins and yet i need to see them to fully know
the measure of His great gifts.
