date night
best idea ever.
switch nights with a friend, pick your most unfavorite time of the day with your kids (5pm-8:30pm) and dump your kids off for free. the kids get to be with friends and you get 3.5 glorious hours of freedom for no special reason at all. go see a movie. eat warm food without having to cut up anyone else's. go to the pool-alone. shop. have a friend over for dinner.
the possibilities are endless.
tonight was our night to play babysitter. we fancied a fort, made driveway paint, ate dinner, and of course popsicles. it is crazy to add two kids to the mix, it's loud and you have to be fun because you are the babysitter. but it is all worth it. this thursday when jon and i are swimming laps and laying on a deck chair talking without having to wipe someone's butt at the same time......it will be pure bliss.
