there is no joy without thanks
there is no thanks without Jesus
i will never be able to count my blessings
there are too many and they come every moment
the brush of his hand
a coy smile
granola on the couch
drywall pieces strewn from dreams
joyous giggles that don't end
papaya, pickles and a grape
a brother's love
eager hands grasping the best paper
red cheeks pulsing with life
soft whispers in the dark of our room
a passed emissions test
butter melting on cinnamon toast
marshmallows sticking to lips
welling up songs touch my soul
bright eyes always watching
pride in a boy's little self
a picture telling our whole life
an instant of grace
constant grace
thank you.
