And then it hits you

going to practice,
making dinner,
finishing up homework,
taking a bath...
and then it hits you.
phone calls that come unexpectedly,
nothing is really the same as it was before.

harp's best buddy in the world cameron
was diagnosed with diabetes
it's just not anything you ever think about until it happens
it doesn't seem so daunting until you realize how much his little world will change

what he knew yesterday is not what he knows today.
as always, we look at the positive
the cavalry circled the wagons and
fed babies...
made cards...
put little brothers to sleep...
built a new way of doing things...
loved on each other...

and then it hits you...
this is what families do
this is why God put us together.

i will never let another day pass without getting on my knees and thanking God for my children's health, vitality and smiles.
