A Story of a Weekend

i love weekends, most people do.
this weekend in particular though?  i loved it.

it started early with a date night,
olive garden (2 for 25?  total deal) and a sunset at the pool with my favorite guy.

boarded the train to nana's early friday morning, the kids loved the ride.

(audrey furiously catches up with her emails as georgia prays for ONE more fruit snack to magically appear)

nana's house is about relaxation and saying yes.

yes, wii it up until it hurts

yes, eat carbs without counting and ice cream twice a day

yes, take naps when the feeling arises

yes, play with plastic animals even if you are 8

yes, teach the little cousins how to play "pterodactyl" so that they too can annoy the planet

yes, everyone can bathe at once.

yes, if you blink, they get bigger before your eyes.

yes, blink and their love for each other grows too.

yes, you can put every one of nana's hair accessories in mommy's hair.

yes, you can lounge by the pool and watch corn grow at the same time.

yes, you feel lucky because grandma harper lives "right there!" (please excuse harper, still in pterodactyl mode for the pic)

yes, the sun sets and you get back on the train in tears because "nana's house is the best" and you don't stop crying until bushnell (poor little dude).

yes, your tears dry quickly because nana is coming in two weeks! (this is a fact we don't share until she is actually here because otherwise it is an endless game of "how many days??")

Yes, We LOVE Nana!!!
