You down with O.P.T.? My kids are.
They are so down with other peoples toys. The irony is we could have the exact same toy at home but it takes on new life if it belongs to another kid. Case in point-playdate with my sister's boys. Her living room like a dressed up Macy's window. Toy Story, Curious George, Ben Ten (who IS that dude anyway?), and the ever coveted Buzz Lightyear wings.
My littles floated through the wonderland like bumble bees in a field of flowers-hover-take a nibble, hover-take a nibble. All the while, their minds racing to calculate just how far off their birthdays are.
Harper was the first to crack,
"Mom? When iz my biwfday?".
"Can I git onea deez?".
With longing leaching from his eyes he holds up the gnarly looking Ben Ten dude.
Wearing my "better mother" badge I say "Sure."
All the while knowing that in OUR house?
That bad boy will be at the bottom of a basket in 1.5 days. Because you see-then it wouldn't be O.P.T.-yeah you know me?

I wonder why this is? It's always better when it is someone else's around here as well! Even if that means you are a boy and your little sister has her favorite doll!! ;-)
